Early Help Offer

Early Help refers to the offer of any information, advice or support to children, young people and their families as soon as possible in their lives or when issues emerge to help prevent problems from escalating.

An Early Help assessment is where we meet with you to discuss what help you need as well as talking about what is working well in your life.  From this a plan is created so that professionals can work together to ensure that you get the help and support that you need.

Outside agencies could become involved, such as the Family Outreach Team, School Health Advisor, St Joseph's Family Centre, Play Therapists, Local Children Centres, Warrington Youth Club, Citizens Advice and parenting courses.  Support could also include help to complete forms and other paperwork such as claiming for disability living allowance or admission to high school.
